Lately
Watching things turn to gold
It’s been quite a while since I’ve shared anything here. Lots of time has gone by, and a whole lot more has been happening. Things are changing in such ways that sometimes it feels hard to wrap my brain around it. But I sure do know that’s the whole point. Our hearts know the way.
I’m very thankful to have arrived at this place within myself, to trust myself, and the feelings that guide me. It feels like with that, we can be fully with the uncertainty, listening and letting things happen as they are meant to, knowing we aren’t meant to know everything as it does. Trust in this way is always the anchor. It’s the tether that lets us hold ourselves between what was and what is coming to be. Gosh, have I been living and experiencing this in a tangible way.
Perhaps the biggest thing is, well, hello from Nashville! It feels like a big deal to say that, but also not, because I’ve spent many years moving around at this point. It sort of just feels like the next thing, but also feels like a very big thing, like the beginning of something special.
Lately, it’s felt like a whirlwind with everything that’s been moving, and I’m doing my best to groove through it. Life can feel like a whole lot, and it can be magnificent, and both can be absolutely true at once. Change always brings sadness and excitement. While things feel like a lot, I’m always leaning into what is simple, and I’ve been really thankful for all of the miracle moments. Magic is everywhere, living from a golden heart, and the ordinary things become things that don't feel ordinary in the least. They seem to hold the biggest space. They always offer a hug. Life saying hello and showing us we’re not alone in all of these brilliant ways. Watching things around us turn to gold as the days go by. It’s worth it all, and I think that is very much the point of it all. To live with our head held high and our eyes upward to see it. We miss too many things with our face towards the ground.
For now, it’s nice to say hello here again, and I hope we are all finding the moments of brightness even in the clouds…
With love,
Kaitlyn
